PROJECT Overview
As a sign of how tech is changing the insurance industry and companies are moving from health protection to health promotion, The client has launched an innovative app that engages with their brand and rewards customers for healthy living in 2015.
Being one of the main User Experience Designers in this project, Candice joined the team from phase 2 and was asked to provide an enjoyable and playful experience for the target audiences. The design processes include wireframe design, prototyping, and user testing.
KEY CHALLENGES
Performance to be improved
The first release of the application launched with some performance issues. The client expected us to work closely with the IT team to test the application, find bugs and provide solutions to enhance the experience.
Lack of user engagement
The first release was only working as a tracking tool, it doesn’t provide any user engagement functions. However, the client expects the application to provide a more engaging experience that will trigger users to interact with the application more often.
Limited wearable device options
The first release only allowed users to connect 2 wearable devices, which limited the users’ options in terms of devices. The client expects the platform to be open to more wearable devices.
